NHS Longterm Plan 
Practice+ is our practice development programme where we work with practices in-house, at a close individual level. 
 
We take a coaching approach to support staff engagement and identify areas for improvement. 
 
The methodology is bespoke for individual practices and can include; 
Partner planning sessions 
Strategy and direction planning 
Organisational development, reviewing how the practice is structured 
Staff engagement surveys and interviews 
Management and Leadership training and coaching 
Meeting and/or away day facilitation 
Practice document reviews (including policies, procedures, and job descriptions) 
Signposting and navigation implementation 
 
This programme can be made up of team workshops, individual coaching or consultancy, depending on the needs of the practice.

GP Practice in Bristol - Case Study insignts from Proactice Manager 
We undertook a Practice Development Programme with The Development People in 2018 following a ‘requires improvement’ CQC rating. 
 
Following an in-depth needs analysis that included employee interviews, surveys and data analysis my Development Consultant created a full Project Plan. 
 
This included reviewing the following areas: 
Planning Session – working with all the Partners to develop a strategic plan for the practice, setting focused objectives, creating a mission and values 
Structure – restructure of all departments including reporting lines, role profiles and responsibilities 
Document reviews – including HR policies, role profiles, signposting protocols 
Staff Training - to develop communication skills and implement signposting processes 
PForm+ - Introduction of a performance management process and system along with on-going feedback 
Leadership training - to develop the skills of our Managers 
Away Day – worked with me to design and deliver an away day that introduced new ways of working, brought people together and created buy-in 
 
12 months later we have noticed significante differences. As well as the overall progress of efficiencies in ways of working, the key improvements have been: 
Complaints down by 20% 
Signposting has allowed GP’s to move to 15-minute appointments 
Engagement levels have increased from 4/10 to 8/10 
CQC rating improvement to ‘Good’
